Nothing says Valentine’s Day like chocolate-covered strawberries. This simple take on the holiday staple is a great way to share the love with your valentine, galentine or palentine.

Equipment:

Wooden skewers

Ingredients:

2 lbs. medium to large fresh strawberries

2 cups dark or milk chocolate chips

Step 1: Rinse and gently pat dry fresh strawberries. With a small, sharp knife, carve out the stem of the strawberry in a circular motion.

Step 2: Slice the strawberries in half from top to bottom.

Step 3: At the top center of each of berry half, cut a small V-shape.

Step 4: Gently insert a skewer at the bottom of the heart shape.

Step 5: Heat chocolate chips in microwave for 30 seconds. Repeat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until chocolate is melted and smooth.

Step 6: Dip strawberries in melted chocolate. Let dry on parchment paper until chocolate firms.

Enjoy!
